Here’s a quick 5 minute hack that **may** speed up your Windows XP operating system.

BTW, if you are running Windows XP you should have a minimum of 512MB of RAM.

Read on for the instructions…

  1. Start > right click My Computer and select Properties
  2. Select the Advanced tab
  3. Click on the Settings button under Performance
  4. Select the Advanced tab
  5. Hit the Change button at the bottom
  6. Look for 2 boxes labeled Initial Size and Maximum Size
  7. Change the number in those boxes to 2 times the amount of RAM in your machine.
    Ex: If you have 512MB of system RAM then you should change both numbers to 1024.
  8. Now hit the Set button and then click Ok
  9. You will be prompted to reboot your machine
  10. Reboot
  11. Faster Windows YAY! ^_^
