Here’s a quick 5 minute hack that **may** speed up your Windows XP operating system.
BTW, if you are running Windows XP you should have a minimum of 512MB of RAM.
Read on for the instructions…
- Start > right click My Computer and select Properties
- Select the Advanced tab
- Click on the Settings button under Performance
- Select the Advanced tab
- Hit the Change button at the bottom
- Look for 2 boxes labeled Initial Size and Maximum Size
- Change the number in those boxes to 2 times the amount of RAM in your machine.
Ex: If you have 512MB of system RAM then you should change both numbers to 1024. - Now hit the Set button and then click Ok
- You will be prompted to reboot your machine
- Reboot
- Faster Windows YAY! ^_^
