Whatever can go wrong, will go wrong.

Variations:

1. Whatever can go wrong will go wrong, and at the worst possible time, in the worst possible way.
2. Anything that can go wrong, will.
3. If anything can go wrong, it will, and usually at the most inopportune moment.
4. Anything that can go wrong, will—at the worst possible moment.
