Have you ever wanted to make your Windows machine BSOD on demand? Well this registry hack does just that.
WARNING! Before you start modifying your registry you should make a backup or risk hosing your entire system.
First you need to disable the restart automatically on system failure setting.
- Right Click on My Computer
- Click on properties
- In the System Properties menu click on the Advanced Tab
- Under Startup and Recovery click on Settings
- Under System Failure uncheck the Automatically Restart box
Now to hack the registry.
- Start > Run > regedit
- Navigate to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetServicesi8042prtParameters - Right Click on Parameters in the left hand pane and select New > DWORD value
- Change the name of the DWORD value to CrashOnCtrlScroll
- Right click on CrashOnCtrlScroll and select Modify
- Change the value data to 1
- Now Restart the system for the changes to take effect.
To use simply hold down CTRL and hit Scroll Lock twice =D
